Air Pollution Essay

Short essay on air pollution(100 words)

Air pollution is the most serious problem of the present times due to the huge level of industrialization all over the world especially in big cities. The release of such air pollutants in huge quantities into smog, particulates, solid materials, etc. have started settling on the city, posing air pollution and health hazards to the people. Lots of dirty waste produced by people on daily basis especially in big cities pollute the atmospheric air to a great extent.

Air pollution is contributed by the release of gaseous pollutants from the burning of motor vehicles, industrial processes, burning of waste, etc. Some natural pollutants like pollen, dust, soil particles, natural gases etc. are also the source of air pollution.

Essay on Air Pollution (150 words)

Air pollution is any harmful substances mixed into the atmosphere. Fresh air causes huge amount of damage, human health disorders, reduce the quality of life, etc. Air pollution is increasing day by day due to the increasing number of industries. . Such polluted air never stays in one place but spreads throughout the environment and affects the lives of people all over the world.

The mortality rate of humans has increased due to various types of diseases. The polluted air we breathe every moment leads to lung disorders and even lung cancer affects the health of other organs of the body.

Air pollution is continuously damaging the entire ecosystem and affecting the life of plants and animals as well. It has reached the critical stage and is affecting the entire atmosphere by allowing more harmful radiations from the Sun to the Earth. Again the polluted air acts as a better insulator which prevents heat from escaping back into space.

Essay on Air Pollution (200 words)

Air pollution is one of the main environmental issues nowadays. There are many reasons behind increasing this air pollution regularly. Most of the air pollution is caused by automobiles, modes of transport, industrialization, growing cities etc. The release of many harmful gases or hazardous elements from such sources is causing the entire atmospheric air pollution.

Ozone layer is also getting affected a lot by air pollution which causes serious disturbances to the environment. The increasing need of the ever-increasing human population is the main reason for pollution. Daily human activities release dangerous chemicals, making the environment dirtier than before and causing negative changes in the climate.

The process of industrialization releases many harmful gases, particulates, lead in paint and batteries, cigarette carbon monoxide, means of transportation that release CO2 and other toxins into the atmosphere. All the pollutants are coming in contact with the atmosphere, destroying the ozone layer and calling the sun’s harmful rays to the earth.

To reduce the level of air pollution, we should make some big changes in our habits on a daily basis. We should not cut down trees, use public transport, avoid spray cans, and there are lots of activities in favor of reducing the effects of air pollution.

Essay on Air Pollution, 250 Words:

Air pollution is the mixing of foreign substances throughout the atmospheric air. Harmful and toxic gases emitted by industries and motor vehicles cause great harm to living organisms whether plants, animals or humans. Some natural and various human resources are causing air pollution. However, most of the air pollution sources are outside human activities such as burning of fossil fuels, coal and oil, release of harmful gases and substances from factories and motor vehicles.

Such harmful chemical compounds as carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, solid particles etc. are getting into the fresh air. The level of air pollution has increased substantially since the last century due to a 690% increase in harmful pollutants due to the expanded need for motor vehicles.

Another source of air pollution is the decomposition of waste in landfills and the disposal of solid wastes that are emitting methane gas (hazardous to health). Rapid growth of population, industrialization, increase in use of automobiles, airplanes etc. have made this problem a serious environmental problem. The air we breathe every moment is full of pollutants that go into our lungs and throughout the body and cause innumerable health problems through the blood.

Polluted air is harming plants, animals and humans in many direct and indirect ways. If environmental protection policies are not followed seriously and strictly, the increasing level of air pollution in recent decades can increase to one million tons annually.

Essay on Air Pollution, 300 Words:

When fresh air gets polluted through dust, toxic gases, fumes, motor vehicles, mills and factories etc., which is called air pollution. As we all know that fresh air is the most important element of healthy life, we need to think about what happens if the whole atmospheric air becomes dirty. Firstly, air pollution is a matter of great regret for the entire human fraternity.

Some of the major causes of air pollution are use of toxic fertilizers, insecticides, insecticides in agricultural fields by innocent farmers to increase crop production. Chemicals and hazardous gases (ammonia) released from such fertilizers are getting into the fresh air and causing air pollution.

Other factory combustibles are also a major cause of air pollution due to the burning of fossil fuels including coal, petroleum. Variety of smoke emissions from automobiles such as cars, buses, motorcycles, trucks, jeeps, trains, airplanes etc. are also causing air pollution.

An increasing number of industries are causing the release of toxic industrial smoke and harmful gases (such as carbon monoxide, organic compounds, hydrocarbons, chemicals, etc.) from factories and mills to the environment. Some indoor activities of people like innocent use of cleaning products, flawless powders, paints etc emit various toxic chemicals in the air.

The ever-increasing level of air pollution also increases its negative and harmful effects on the health of living beings. Air pollution is increasing due to increase in atmospheric temperature due to increasing level of greenhouse gases. Due to this type of green house gases again green house effect and rise in sea level, melting glaciers, change in weather, change in climate, etc. Many deadly diseases (cancer) due to increase in air pollution. , Heart attack, Asthma, Bronchitis, Kidney diseases occur etc) and death.

Various important animal and plant species have been completely destroyed from this planet. The increasing level of harmful gases in the environment is causing the occurrence of acid rain and is depleting the ozone layer.

Long essay on air pollution (400 words)

The increasing concentration of harmful and toxic substances in the fresh air of the atmosphere is causing air pollution. Variety of foreign particles, toxic gases and other pollutants released by various human activities are affecting the fresh air, which has adverse effects on organisms like humans, animals and plants. The level of air pollution depends on the type and amount of pollutants released from different sources.

Topographic and meteorological conditions are increasing the spread and concentration of pollutants. The variety of raw materials used in the manufacturing process across industries is increasing the type and amount of harmful gases emitted. The increasing population density is demanding the need for more industrialization which ultimately causes air pollution.

Air pollutants such as harmful liquid droplets, solid particles and toxic gases (carbons, halogenated and non-halogenated hydrocarbons, oxides of nitrogen and sulfur gases, suspended inorganic particulate matter, inorganic and organic acids, bacteria, viruses, pesticides etc.) Huh. The components of fresh air are not very dangerous to plant and animal life.

There are two types of air pollution sources which are natural sources and man-made sources. Some natural sources of air pollution are volcanic eruptions, like volcanoes (ash, carbon dioxide, smoke, dust and other gases), sand, dust, salt spray from the sea and ocean, soil particles, hurricanes, forest fires, cosmic particles , rays, bombardment of asteroids, comets, pollen grains, fungal spores, viruses, bacteria etc.

Man-made sources of air pollution are industry, agriculture, power plants, automobiles, domestic sources, etc. Some of the man-made sources are air pollutants like smoke, dust, fumes, particulate matters, gases from kitchen, domestic heating, emissions from various vehicles, use of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, heat generated from power plants, smoke, fly ash, Due to the increasing number of air pollutants, it is divided into two types namely primary pollutants and secondary pollutants.

Primary pollutants are those that directly affect fresh air and are emitted from smoke, ash, dust, fumes, mist, spray, inorganic gases, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, nitric oxide and radioactive compounds. Huh. Secondary pollutants are those that affect the air indirectly by chemical interactions with primary pollutants and other atmospheric constituents such as sulphur-trioxide, ozone, hydrocarbons, nitrogen dioxide, etc.

Human efforts all over the world can help in controlling the level of air pollution. Industrial estates should be set up away from residential areas, encourage the use of long chimneys (with filters and electrostatic precipitators) instead of short ones, use non-combustible sources of energy, promote the use of non-lead Antiknock agents in gasoline, can promote reforestation and so many positive efforts.
